It was a busy weekend in the Georgetown area. From live music to poker games, there was a bit of everything.

Deep in the Heart of Caring Gala Event
Oct. 15
About 300 people attended the annual event at Schwertner Ranch Event Center. The gala featured live music from the Radney Foster Band as well as dinner, a live cattle roundup, and live and silent auctions. Proceeds benefitted Georgetown-based nonprofit
The Caring Place.

The Williamson Museum at the Sheraton Georgetown Texas Hotel & Conference Center, the fifth annual fundraiser benefitted the museum’s educational programs and included dinner, wine and beer, and dancing. The event also featured live and silent auctions, raffles, poker games and this year, honored former
Texas Gov. Dan Moody.
