Pinnacle Point Office Park

At the meeting council members also heard from a developer asking for a zoning change to proceed with constructing Pinnacle Point Office Park, a development that would contain six lots for six single-story office buildings. Pinnacle Park will consist of six office buildings when complete. Pinnacle Park will consist of six office buildings when complete.[/caption] The office park will be located on S. Kimball Avenue across the street from George Dawson Middle School and Eubanks Intermediate School. The development will be constructed in phases, starting with lots 1 and 2, which will consist of two office buildings totaling approximately 37,000 square feet. Phase 2 would include the rest of the buildings. "I have some concerns regarding the second phase of this project—lots 3, 4, 5 and 6," council member Shawn McCaskill said. "I think there are still a lot of unanswered questions. We are not really sure what 3, 4, 5 and 6 will look like. I'm concerned about giving a zoning change to the entire project without further discussion on lots 3, 4, 5 and 6. I have some concerns about the fact that there are some unknowns in respect to Village Center and what the traffic impact analysis might show especially given that this project is across the street from two schools." With multiple concerns from council members about phase 2 of the project, council members only approved a site plan for lots 1 and 2. However, the zoning change was approved for the whole property. The developer will have to come back before the council with a site plan for the remaining lots.
