The Grapevine Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council at a March 15 joint meeting unanimously approved Perry's Steakhouse & Grill for a location at 2400 W. SH 114, Grapevine.
The 10,467-square-foot Perry's will sit on a 3.2 acre tract of land acquired from the Texas Department of Transportation that was unused right-of-way no longer needed by the state.
The applicant said construction is slated to start in mid-July and will open in 2017 after about 15-16 months of construction.
The restaurant will have seating for a total of 449 people—365 interior seats and 84 patio seats.
The family-owned and -operated restaurant's menu items include filet mignon, prime ribeye, grilled salmon, pecan-crusted gulf red snapper, steamed lobster tail as well as soups and salads. Dessert items include creme brûlée, rocky road bread pudding, bananas foster and milk chocolate peanut butter candy bar.
Perry's also offers an extensive wine list that includes well-known labels as well as wines from smaller, family-owned vintners.
Perry's has two other locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area: Frisco and Uptown Dallas.
