The filing period for the May 7 general election ended Feb. 19 and there are several contested races for local officials.

Grapevine


Grapevine voters will elect Places 3 and 4 of the Grapevine City Council. These places serve three-year terms that will expire in 2019.

Incumbents Mike Lease and Darlene Freed are running unopposed for Place 3 and Place 4, respectively.

Colleyville


Current Collevyille Mayor David Kelly will face off against challenger Richard Newton in the May election for the mayoral seat.

Incumbent Carol Wolin as well as Tammy Nakamura have filed for the Place 1 seat on the City Council.

For the Place 2 seat on the council Bobby Lindamood and Chuck Mogged have announced their candidacy.

Southlake


In Southlake voters will elect Place 3, 4 and 5 on the City Council in the May election. All three races are unopposed.

Chad M. Patton filed for Place 3, Randy Williamson filed for Place 4 and John R. Huffman filed for Place 5.

Grapevine-Colleyville ISD


Place 3 and Place 4 on the Grapevine-Colleyville ISD board of trustees will be on the May 7 ballot.

Louie Sullins will run uncontested for Place 3 and incumbent Lisa Pardo will run unopposed for Place 4.

Carroll ISD


Carroll ISD board of trustees Places 1, 6 and 7 are up for election. All races are unopposed with the incumbents for these places filing.

Michelle Moore has filed for Place 1, Matt Kormann has filed for Place 6 and Christopher Archer for Place 7.

Early voting by personal appearance will occur from Monday, April 25 to Tuesday May 3.
