Growth is on the horizon for Whitmeyer’s Distilling Co.
The Spring-area distillery is opening a 2,000-square-foot lounge that will serve its craft alcohol as well as cigars and coffee in early February, co-owner Travis Whitmeyer said.

Whitmeyer’s leased the space at its Hollister Street location. The expansion will allow fans of the craft distillery to purchase its popular concoctions, such as the Space City Vodka and Texas Peach Whiskey, without waiting for the weekend tour.

“We’re going to be kind of eclectic,” Travis Whitmeyer said. “We’ll have various local musicians come out from time to time. We’ll have food trucks. We have partnerships with local chefs where they’ll come out and cater it. It’s going to be a full experience.”

Travis Whitmeyer, along with his brother Chris and father, Wesley, opened the distillery nearly four years ago after recognizing a need for spirit distillers in Houston. Whitmeyer’s has continued to test flavor combinations, allowing the company to earn a strong following, Travis said.
