GCISD launches ‘Excellence in Education’ YouTube video series

In November, Grapevine-Colleyville ISD launched a new monthly video series, “Excellence in Education,” giving community members a look at district programs, facilities, school finance and other initiatives.

The first segment highlights school funding and the effect of the Texas school finance system on GCISD. The video can be seen on the district’s YouTube channel, GCISD TV.

The GCISD administration said the goal of the video series is to allow for further transparency among the district, parents, staff and others in the community.

Upcoming “Excellence in Education” segments will cover how each tax dollar is spent, debt service, facilities, learning environments, safety and security, and more.

The YouTube channel also has a “Meet the Trustees” segment as well as video profiles and highlights of events, sports, teachers and students.
