The city of Frisco will spray for another mosquito pool that has tested positive for West Nile virus, according to city press release.
The targeted areas include north of SH 121 and south of Jereme Trail between Hillcrest and Coit. This will include areas of the Plantation Resort community.

This is the sixth mosquito pool that has tested positive for the virus in the city. No human cases have been confirmed.
Weather permitting, city crews will begin treatment Sunday, Oct. 18 beginning at 10 p.m. and continue through 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 19.
Spraying will resume in the same general area on Monday, Oct. 19 beginning at 10 p.m. and continuing through 6 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20.
Frisco began testing for mosquitos May 1.
The Texas Department of State Health Services urges residents to practice the “Four D’s”:
- Drain all standing water
- Dress in light-colored clothing and wear long sleeves when outdoors
- DEET—use mosquito repellents that contain DEET
- Dusk or dawn—avoid activity during the hours when mosquitoes are most active
