During the next year Colleyville residents will see a number of new businesses and residential properties emerge in The Village, an area that contains shopping and dining as well as the city’s library and City Hall. The Village in Colleyville attracts new office, retail and residential properties As The Village, located off Colleyville Boulevard, continues to move closer to build-out, Colleyville Economic Development Director Marty Wieder said the original vision of The Village is coming to fruition. “We are seeing what we hoped would take place,” he said. “We have residents that are coming in and becoming developers in The Village and investing in their community with owner-occupied, user-driven buildings.” Mike and Mickala Sisk, along with Lesli Holt, are bringing a new concept to The Village with the soon-to-open Village Lane Apothecary at 60 Village Lane. The full-service pharmacy will contain a soda fountain, candy bar, coffees and specialty ice creams. The  business will employ six to eight people. Colleyville residents Dustin Stiefel and Vince Hawkins, founding partners of Steward Financial Group, and Steve Early, owner of Early Law Firm, are constructing an office building at 26 Village Lane that will house both of their businesses. The homes will all be detached residences with a European appearance. Landwehr said the new residences will be 2,500-2,700 square feet and in the $475,000-$500,000 price range. They are scheduled to be complete by the spring. At 37 Village Lane, Dr. Cameron Hamidi and his brother Moe Hamidi are building a three-story building that will be the new home of dentaleaf, which they own, as well as a specialty coffee shop and three residences on the top floors. Colleyville resident John Fegan is constructing Village Creek, a new office/restaurant project between The Village and First Baptist Church on Pleasant Run Road. Fegan said the two-story project will be the city’s first Class AA office building. Long-time residential Realtor and Colleyville resident Sophie Tel Diaz is constructing a small office/residential building at 28 Village Lane near Ruggeri’s. The building will become Sophie Tel Diaz Real Estate headquarters and also include a single residential home on the top floor. “The Village has experienced a significant increase in activity in the past 12 months,” she said. “We are looking forward to moving into our new office and feel it is the right investment for our office.”
