1. The Grand Parkway segments F-1, F-2 and G
Contractor Zachry-Odebrecht Parkway Builders continues work on segments F-1, F-2 and G of the Grand Parkway. The segments stretch from Hwy. 290 to Hwy. 59. Several lanes and ramps are closed for construction. Indefinite closures include the I-45 southbound entrance ramp at Spring Crossing Drive, the I-45 northbound exit ramp at Spring Crossing Drive and the Hardy Toll Road, the I-45 northbound frontage left lane from the Spring Stuebner Road entrance ramp to north of exit No. 72 and the I-45 northbound entrance ramps at Spring Stuebner Road and FM 2920. The left lane of Hwy. 249 southbound from Holderreith Road to Boudreaux Estates will be closed daily from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. through Oct. 15.

2. Aldine Westfield Road widening
Harris County has plans to widen Aldine Westfield Road from a two-lane asphalt roadway to a four-lane thoroughfare from East Louetta to Riley Fuzzel roads. The county awarded the contract to Allgood Construction Company, which will begin work once the award process has been completed and a pre-construction meeting is held.

3. Gosling Road widening Segment 1
The expansion of Gosling Road from a two-lane roadway to a four-lane thoroughfare from Spring Stuebner to West Mossy Oaks roads is in the bid process. Harris County plans to award the segment to a contractor in November.

4. Hufsmith-Kohrville Road widening segments 2-4
Harris County’s proposed widening of Hufsmith-Kohrville Road from Hollow Glen to Willow Creek Estates lanes is in the study phase. The study will establish the alignment and expansion plans for the roadway. Segment 2 stretches from Hollow Glen Lane to 500 feet north of Ezekiel Road while Segment 3 stretches from that point to 500 feet north of Holderrieth Road. Segment 4 sits north of Segment 3 to Willow Creek Estates Lane. Funding for the project could come from the $700 million bond referendum on the Nov. 3 ballot.

5. Hufsmith-Kohrville Road widening Segment 6
The expansion of Hufsmith-Kohrville Road from Willow Creek Estates Lane to FM 2920 is in the design phase. Harris County plans to send the project out for bid in the second quarter of 2016.

6. T.C. Jester signal installation
Harris County and TxDOT continue work on the installation of traffic lights and improvements at 10 intersections on T.C. Jester Boulevard between FM 1960 and FM 2920. Contractor Third Coast Services completed improvements from FM 1960 to Louetta Road. The first four traffic signals at Chapel Bend, Aspen Bend and Kennonview drives, as well as Glenmere Lane, were activated Sept. 14.
