Cincinnati-based Buffalo Wings & Rings is looking to expand further in the state of Texas, specifically in Grapevine.

Philip Schram, the restaurant's chief development officer, said there are 12 to 13 franchise locations in central and South Texas, with one location getting ready to open in North Texas early next year in Mansfield.

"We have a family concept in our restaurant and we are looking to bring our restaurant to cities that have a community feel—that's why we are looking at Grapevine," Schram said.

Schram said to bring the restaurant to the city, they first need to find a franchisee. After that, they will begin the site selection process and bring the plans before the City Council. He also said it is typically a two- to three-year process from selecting a franchisee to opening the restaurant.

The sports restaurant franchise offers homemade sauces, wings, burgers, gyros, wraps, tacos and salads.
