Frisco City Council will vote on tax breaks for three upcoming Wal-Mart stores during tonight’s meeting. Each of the stores would receive half of the city’s 1 percent sales tax generated by each store for 10 years. The total incentive for each store can go up to $2.5 million. In return, each store must be 180,000 square feet and be completed by March 31, 2018. The three stores will be located at FM 423 and US 380; Stonebrook Parkway and FM 423; and SH 121 and Custer Road. Similar incentives were given to Target near Stonebriar Centre and another Wal-Mart on FM 423 and Eldorado Parkway, according to Council documents. City Council will reconvene in open session at about 7 p.m. at the George A. Purefoy Municipal Center.
