RM 2222 and McNeil Drive
The Texas Department of Transportation is extending the right-turn lane from eastbound RM 2222 to McNeil Drive and adding a second left-turn lane from westbound RM 2222 to McNeil. In August, McNeil was restriped with left- and right-turn lanes and a center lane for either a left or right turn.

Water main upgrades
Austin Water Utility is upgrading wastewater lines in the Barrington Oaks neighborhood to improve capacity. The work is being done in sections and affects Danwood Drive from Kapok Lane to Barrington Way and Barrington from Danwood to Pilgrims Place. Crews will complete the work in stages and will reopen a section of street before moving on to the next section.

Loop 360 resurfacing
TxDOT will finish resurfacing Loop 360 from US 183 to RM 2222 in late August. The southern end of the project was moved from Walsh Tarlton Lane to RM 2222 because of funding.

183 South contract awarded
On July 29 the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority board of directors approved a $581.5 million design-build contract with Colorado River Constructors for the 183 South project to build six tolled and six nontolled lanes between Hwys. 290 and 71. In June the Texas Transportation Commission gave preliminary approval for a $203.4 million loan and grant package to help fund the project.
