City officials said they are looking for several residents who have desire and commitment to devote to the Southlake community as they are now accepting applications for several boards and commissions.
Mayor Laura Hill and City Council will make appointments Oct. 20 to the following boards and commissions: the Community Engagement Committee, Library Board, Metroport Teen Court Advisory Board, Senior Advisory Commission, Arts Council, and the Crime Control and Prevention District Board of Directors as well as the newly formed Community Enhancement and Development Corp. Board of Directors.
Each appointment is for a term of two years, unless one is appointed to fulfill an existing vacancy for an unexpired term.
Applications may be obtained from the city’s website. They can also be mailed or hand-delivered to the city secretary’s office, 1400 Main St., Ste. 270. Applications must be received no later than Sept. 8.
