Glade Road is a major artery in Colleyville with a daily traffic count of about 17,000 vehicles, and it will continue to grow, resulting in the need for reconstruction, according to city officials.
At the June 2 City Council meeting, council members gave staff approval to move forward with the design of the first phase of the Glade Road project. This phase was approved last fall and encompasses the roadway between Bransford Road and Manning Drive, about one-fourth of the corridor. It includes construction of roundabouts at both Bransford Road and Riverwalk Drive, realignment of Bedford Road, addressing the sight distance issues at Bluebonnet Drive and drainage improvements in that section.
