A nonprofit group that operates farmers markets at Lakeline Mall and the Mueller development is opening its third location May 10 at the new lawn venue near iPic Theaters in The Domain, 3225 Amy Donovan Plaza, Austin.

Carla Jenkins, president of F2M Texas, said she was approached by Simon Property Group to open a Domain location.

“We had such great track record with the Lakeline market that they’ve been wanting me to do a market [in the Domain] for quite some time,” Jenkins said.

Texas Farmers Market at Domain will have between 30 and 40 vendors, including some of those who already have booths at the Texas Farmers Markets at Lakeline and Mueller, she said. Jenkins is still finalizing vendor contracts, she said.

Initially the cost to run the market at The Domain was too great, Jenkins said, but Simon worked out an agreement with her to operate the market.

The Domain market will operate Sundays from 3 p.m.-6 p.m. Jenkins said she will be adjusting the schedule of the Mueller market to Sundays from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in May to accommodate the new market in The Domain.

The Lakeline market is celebrating five years March 28 with an anniversary party. That market runs on Saturdays from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
