CR 245 and Williams Drive intersection
1. Williamson County will realign the intersection of CR 245 and Williams Drive. The project will align CR 245 with the intersection of Gabriel Woods Drive and Williams Drive. The project will also add a left turn lane from CR 345 onto Williams Drive. Bids for the project are expected to be advertised in February, and a contract could be awarded in March.

Downtown street rehabilitation
2. Transportation Services Manager Mark Miller said the city is expected to seek bids in January for improvements to Second Street from Austin Avenue to College Street. In December construction on improvements to the Second Street and Austin Avenue intersection were completed. If the contract is approved by City Council, construction could begin in March, Miller said.

Ninth Street
3. The city of Georgetown is upgrading utilities, parking, sidewalks and landscaping along two blocks of Ninth Street in downtown. Ninth Street between Austin Avenue and Rock Street was mostly completed in late December. Construction on the roadway from Austin Avenue to Main Street was underway in December.

Capital improvement projects list
The Georgetown Transportation Department is compiling its five-year capital improvement projects, or CIP, list using the results of an overall pavement condition study. A list of potential street rehabilitation projects is expected to be presented to City Council at its
Jan. 27 meeting. Funding for the CIP street maintenance was approved in the 201415 fiscal year budget.
