City Council approved the final plat for new subdivision The Enclave at Katy at its regular meeting Dec. 8.

M/I Homes purchased the 18.63-acre plat on Lilac Road between Avenues A and D earlier this year. M/I Homes has built housing communities in Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Florida and Texas, including in the Waterstone, Firethorne and Cinco Ranch Cedar Grove neighborhoods.

Formerly the site of a trailer park, the new subdivision will include 52 lots in three blocks.

The recommendation for the approval of the plat was made at the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting Nov. 11 before being approved by the City Council, Chairman Eric Paulsen said.

Katy City Council

Meets at 6:30 p.m. every other Monday. Meetings for the new year have not been scheduled.
