Several neighborhood groups and organizations have planned candidate debates in North and Northwest Austin for the Austin City Council runoff election Dec. 16.
None of the candidates running for districts 4, 6, 7 or 10 earned enough votes to outright win their seats. The two candidates with the most votes will face off Dec. 16.
The Four Points Chamber of Commerce is hosting a forum for District 6 candidates Don Zimmerman and James "Jimmy" Flannigan on Nov. 18 from 7–8:30 p.m. The event is at Austin Baptist Church, 7016 Ribelin Ranch Drive.
The League of Women Voters Austin Area is hosting candidate forums Nov. 21 at the City Council chambers at Austin City Hall, 301 W. Second St. Free, validated parking is available at City Hall.

District 4 – Gregorio "Greg" Casar and Laura Pressley
District 7 – Leslie Pool and J.E. "Jeb" Boyt
- 6:45–7:15 p.m. – Districts 6 and 10
District 6 – Zimmerman and Flannigan
District 10 – Mandy Dealey and Sheri Gallo
The North Austin Community Newsletter will host a debate for districts 4 and 7 candidates Dec. 1 at St. John's Episcopal Church, 11210 Parkfield Drive. The District 4 debate is from 6:30–8 p.m., and District 7 candidates will debate from 8–9:30 p.m.
In District 6, the Anderson Mill Neighborhood Association is hosting a debate Dec. 7 from 3–5 p.m. at the Anderson Mill Community Center, 11500 El Salido Parkway.
