Pflugerville nonprofit Celebration of Love is seeking bicycle and monetary donations to provide holiday gifts for families of U.S. soldiers.

This year the organization hopes to collect 300 bicycles for children of families living at Fort Hood military base near Killeen. Celebration of Love chooses recipient families in advance, and bicycles are delivered to children Dec. 5. Bicycle donations for this holiday season must be received by Nov. 30, and a bicycle assembly party will be hosted before the items are dropped off at Fort Hood.

Tom Ramsey started the Celebration of Love program in Pflugerville in 2003. Ramsey also operates several other philanthropic programs to bring toys, holidays meals and other donated items to families in 11 school districts, including Austin, Pflugerville and Round Rock ISDs.

Donations are accepted yearround and can be dropped off at the Celebration of Love office, 15630 Vision Drive, Pflugerville, and tax-deductible monetary donations can be made on the website www.celebrationoflove.org. The office is open Mon.–Fri. 8 a.m.–5 p.m. The organization is also accepting $50 Walmart gift cards, which will be used to purchase bicycles for families.

Celebration of Love is also partnering with Toys 4 Tots for its annual toy drive. For more information about how to participate, call 512-251-6544 or visit www.celebrationoflove.org.
