Incumbent Rep. Debbie Riddle, R-Tomball, has defeated Democratic candidate Amy Perez for the District 150 seat with 88% of precincts reporting in Harris County. Riddle received 72.4% or 24,317 votes, while Perez received 27.56, or 9,253 votes.
Riddle thanked her supporters.
"I'm humbled and pleased, thank you," Riddle said. "I think that that election results show that not only the people of District 150 but the people of Texas want our state to continue its strong stand for freedom and the ability to keep a good strong economy with jobs and transportation and education and all of the things that are making our state stand head and shoulders above the other states."
Riddle has served in the Texas House of Representatives since she was first elected to the District 150 seat in 2002. Riddle has lived in the district for nearly 36 years.
Riddle works with the county commissioner and transportation officials at the local, state and federal level to manage traffic to manage the growth in her district.
