Round Rock ISD is accepting prospective candidate applications for five of the seven open trustee positions through Aug. 18 at 5 p.m. Candidates will be elected at-large in November and serve without compensation.

The Place 1 trustee position term is two years and terms for Places 3, 4, 5, and 6 are for four years.

To be eligible to serve as a trustee, a person must:

Be at least age 18

Be a Texas resident

Have not been determined mentally incompetent by a final judgment of a court

Have not been convicted of a felony from which the person has not been pardoned

Be a registered voter

Regular board meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at Round Rock High School's lecture hall, 300 Lake Creek Parkway.
