Dan Mossakowski, Frisco ISD school board vice president cited personal, family and business goals as his reason for resigning from his post, according to the district's communications office.

Mossakowski's term ends in 2016. The board called a special meeting on June 2 to act on his resignation and discuss the process to replace him until the next election in May 2015, at which time an individual would be elected to fill the remaining year of his term.

"This is something I have been considering for some time and have struggled with because of my love for this district and my dedication to the students," Mossakowski said in a district news release. "But it is now time for me to focus more attention on what is best for me and my family."
