Harris County The Harris County Sheriff's Office and Harris County Constable's Office have worked with the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce to implement new community policing programs.
Community leaders Bob Jackson, Al Brooks and Tony Ashford worked with Harris County Sheriff Adrian Garcia to establish the Home Security Review Program, a pilot program in Champions and Copperfield subdivisions, in which residents can request an on-site review of their home's security by contacting the HCSO's Crime Prevention Office. Homeowners who complete the review will receive a Home Security Review sign with the HCSO's logo, similar to other security signs.
Precinct 4 Constable Ron Hickman and Assistant Chief Mark Herman created the Business Security Survey Program, a security review program that allows businesses to obtain a survey to perform a security check.
