Austin-based Torchy's Tacos is bringing its first suburban Houston location to LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch this summer. The restaurant, which built a loyal customer following from humble roots in a food trailer, serves signature gourmet tacos and has three other Houston area restaurant locations inside Loop 610.

"Our success in Houston-proper paired with the vision for LaCenterra made the decision for Katy a pretty easy one," said Michael Rypka, Torchy's Tacos founder and vice president of culinary and marketing. "We couldn't be more excited to join so many other great brands in Cinco Ranch."

The company signed a lease with Vista Equities Group for a 3,886-square-foot space located by the West Lake of LaCenterra, near the entrance of Commercial Center Boulevard.

Torchy's is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Its distinctive menu includes tacos like the "Trailer Park," which includes fried chicken, green chilies, lettuce, pico de gallo and cheese (or queso) and the "Brushfire," which features Jamaican jerk chicken, grilled jalapeos, mango, sour cream and cilantro.
