A progress report issued by the North Texas Tollway Authority for January outlines plans to expand the Dallas North Tollway from Belt Line Road to the Sam Rayburn Tollway at Frisco's southern border.
An additional traffic lane in each direction is to be added. Work also includes pavement surface overlay, restriping and relocation of existing light poles from the center median barrier.
The project is expected to begin the first quarter of 2015 and projected to take about three years to complete.
The improvement project will also reconfigure the existing direct connector ramps at the DNT and President George Bush Turnpike interchange.
