Each year, the United Way of Williamson County sponsors the MLK Day of Service to honor the memory of Martin Luther King Jr. and his legacy.
On Jan. 20, more than 175 volunteers gave their time to assist nonprofits and community organizations in Georgetown, Hutto, Leander, Round Rock and Taylor.
"We had a lot of individuals and families who came out on a holiday and gave their time to helping the community," said Laurie Garza, development director of the United Way of Williamson County.
