A large retail development is in the works on the southeast corner of Lebanon Road and the Dallas North Tollway, according to Newman Real Estate.
The announcement, released Jan. 23, says the Wade family sold the 110-acre property to an urban retail developer.
The development, which is being called Wade Park, is is to include high-end retail shopping, fine dining, luxury hotels, commercial office space, entertainment and urban living.
"The project is currently planned to contain approximately 585,000 square feet of retail, 96,000 square feet of office over retail, 2.3 million square feet in multiple mid- to high-rise buildings, 700 multi-family residential units and 125 single family residential units," said representatives for Wakefield Beasley and Associates, who will be providing master planning services for the project.
The first part of the project is expected to be complete in spring 2015.
Jim Newman of Newman Real Estate said the development will fill a need in Frisco.
"Wade Park will be the place to go when you have a special occasion to celebrate or to spend an afternoon discovering the latest trends from the runway, at stores that you currently have to drive 20 miles to NorthPark Center to find," Newman said.
The Wade Park development is just north of where the Dallas Cowboys corporate headquarters and practice facility, along with a retail and office space development, is planned.
