The northbound exit to New Territory Boulevard along the Grand Parkway is closed until further notice as work on Segment D of the Grand Parkway continues. Motorists can travel over the intersection on the newly constructed overpass, exit and U-turn at Sand Hill Drive to access New Territory, but should expect traffic delays, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
Designs for Segment D include nine overpasses and seven toll plazas. For EZ Tag drivers, it is expected to cost about $0.18 per mile—about $3.20 to travel the 18.2-mile stretch between Hwy. 59 and I-10. Frontage roads will remain free.
It is estimated that drivers will be able to travel from Hwy. 59 to I-10 in about 16 minutes once the overpasses are completed, according to the Grand Parkway Association. The drive time along Segment E between I-10 and Hwy. 290 is about 14 minutes and is estimated to be about 22 minutes along segments F1 and F2 between Hwy. 290 and I-45. Work on Segment D is scheduled to be complete in three phases by mid-April, according to Fort Bend County officials.
