Completion expected this year

Construction began in May 2012 on the Ronald Reagan Boulevard project, intended to provide an alternate north-south corridor for motorists in western Williamson County.

The final stretch of Ronald Reagan Boulevard, from Hwy. 195 to CR 237 near I-35, is on schedule and is anticipated to be completed late this fall, TxDOT spokeswoman Kelli Reyna said.

Crews spent July removing pavement and constructing driveways on the CR 237 right-of-way and placing topsoil and mulch at various locations.

The project is estimated to cost $14 million and is being funded with 2006 road bond funds.
