A long-standing Houston business, Drillers Supply International, plans to open a new 10,000-square-foot facility off Mueschke Road in late May or early June to expand its services and warehouse space. The company has additional locations in Minnesota and Chile, but the executive team has operated out of Northwest Houston since the mid-1980s.

"It is always nice to be able to expand at home," said Greg Hall Jr., sales manager. "We are very happy to expand in this area and help bring more jobs back. As we get busy, we look forward to hiring local people."

The primary purpose of the expansion will be to provide more warehouse space to store products manufactured in other domestic locations as well as their Chile location, Hall said. The location will have about 6,000-square-feet of warehouse space with the rest of the space dedicated to offices and common areas.

"That's going to be the main value of this development," he said. "It only makes sense to store these products here, as about 90 percent of our business is in manufacturing parts for oil and gas companies here in Houston and in Minnesota and South America."
