Hutto City Council approved appointing a Public Safety Task Force at its Jan. 17 meeting. The Task Force will act as an advising body to the council and make recommendations on the city's comprehensive plan during a two-year study.
According to a city news release, the Task Force will make recommendations it deems necessary for excellence in the city's public safety. Public input will be welcomed throughout the study.
Members of the task force include Michael Cooper, Doug Gaul, Michelle Porter, Jarred Thomas, Ed Tydings, Bill Gardner, Fire Chief Scott Kerwood and Police Chief Peter Scheets.
