Three West Lake Hills races uncontested; two run for Place 5

The filing period to run for West Lake Hills City Council offices in the May 12 elections ended March 5 at 5 p.m.

Dave Claunch's re-election for mayor was uncontested, as was Jean Goehring's re-election for Place 4.

Attorney Taylor Holcomb is running uncontested for Place 2, replacing Councilman Andrew Schwartz.

Two have filed in a special election for Place 5: Lyn Weingarten, a housewife, and David Moore, a business owner and engineer.

The deadline to file in the special election is March 12, and the withdrawal deadline is March 20. The special election will also be held May 12.
