The Georgetown Visitor Information Center will be closed Jan. 5–6 while it moves from 101 W. Seventh St. next door to 103 W. Seventh St. It will reopen at its new location Jan. 7.

The move will allow Grape Creek Vineyards to begin renovations to the 101 W. Seventh St. building, where the company plans to open a winery by the summer, according to a news release.

Georgetown City Council approved a lease-to-own agreement with Fredericksburg-based Grape Creek Vineyards on Aug. 23 for the building.

The offices for the Convention and Visitors Bureau staff will be located behind the new Visitor Center location after the move.

Regular hours for the Visitor Center are Mon.–Sat. 9 a.m.–5 p.m. and Sunday 1–5 p.m.
