Key things New Caney-Porter voters need to know before the May 26 primary runoff elections

Early voting has kicked off for the May 26 primary runoff elections, with two voting centers open in East Montgomery County.

At the polls

Voters must vote in the county where they are registered. In Montgomery County, voters can cast their ballot at any polling location during early voting; however, election day locations are by precinct.

Early voting began May 18 and will close May 22, according to the Montgomery County elections website. Early voting is held from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. at:

• East Montgomery County Fair Association Building (Main Room): 21675A McCleskey Road, New Caney
• East Montgomery County Community Development Center (Hayden and Dunn Conference Rooms): 16401 First St., Ste. 100, Splendora

• East Montgomery County Fair Association Building
• Woodbranch City Hall (Meeting Room): 58 Woodbranch Drive, New Caney
• Robert L. Crippen Elementary School (Gym): 18690 Cumberland Boulevard, Porter
• Lone Star College-Kingwood Performing Arts Center (APA 119): 500 Royston Drive, Kingwood
• Security Community Center (Main Room):18760 Hwy. 105 E., Cleveland

The May 26 primary runoff election will include statewide elections, such as:

• U.S. senator (Republican)
• Lieutenant governor (Democrat)
• Attorney general (Republican and Democrat)
• Railroad commissioner (Republican)

This article includes elections that may appear on the ballots of voters in the New Caney and Porter area. This is not a comprehensive list and does not include all possible May 26 races or any uncontested races.
