1. East Virginia Street improvements
Project: East Virginia Street between Murray Street and Airport Drive will be reconstructed in McKinney. The project will include a new alignment and connection to Airport Drive and a new roundabout at the intersection of Virginia Street and Lively Hill Lane. There will also be waterline, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, illumination, hardscape and landscape improvements.
Update: Design is 90% complete, and officials expect to bid the project in late 2026.

2. Infrastructure improvements along Tennessee, Lamar, and Hunt streets
Project: Work includes the reconstruction of Tennessee Street between Virginia and Lamar streets, Lamar Street between Church Street and SH 5, and Hunt Street between Kentucky Street and SH 5 in McKinney. The project will also have water line, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, illumination, hardscape and landscape improvements.
Update: Design is 90% complete, and officials expect to bid the project in fall 2026.

3. Lakeside Boulevard reconstruction
Project: Crews are reconstructing the street and implementing utility improvements on Lakeside Boulevard from US 75 to Campbell Road, and Lawnview Drive from Lakeside to Greenville Avenue in Richardson.
Update: Installation of the water line sewers from the roundabout to Campbell is currently underway, along with work in the Lawnview median.

Tarrant County
4. South Elm Street reconstruction
Project: Work includes widening and reconstructing the road, improving utilities and drainage, and adding parking, sidewalks, seating, landscaping, lighting and wayfinding signage in Keller.
Update: The demolition of Elm Street's bridge was postponed from its original February start date due to utility issues and is estimated to take place in the summer.

5. Cheek-Sparger, Bedford Road roundabout
Project: The project will add a single-lane roundabout at the Cheek-Sparger and Bedford Road intersection and relocate 500 feet of water line within the roundabout in Colleyville.
Update: Colleyville City Council approved the relocation of the water line to be added to the project at the April 7 meeting, which increased the project’s design cost by $47,000.
