1. White Avenue repairs

The rehabilitation of White Avenue from US 75 to Graves Street is expected to continue until the end of September. Construction crews will work between Duvall and Graves streets during the month of September. Drivers can expect delays on White during construction; however one lane of traffic in each direction will remain open.

2. Virginia Parkway widening

Crews will work on paving operations in September on the inside lanes of Virginia Parkway between Ridge Road and Bellegrove Drive. One lane of traffic will be closed in each direction during construction. Traffic signals on Virginia at Mallard Lakes Drive and Crutcher Crossing will also be installed in September.

When complete, there will be an additional lane of traffic in each direction of Virginia from US 75 to Ridge.

3. Ridge Road roadway replacement

Construction crews replaced a small section of the street pavement where it is beginning to buckle on Ridge Road near Glen Oaks Drive.

Timeline: July-Aug. 26 Cost: $90,000 Funding source: city of McKinney

4. FM 546 extension

Construction crews will conduct lime operations at various locations along FM 546. These operations are done to prepare the soil for paving.

When complete, FM 546 will start east of McDonald Drive and run through Airport Drive.
