As rain continues in McKinney various streets have closed due to flooding. Closures include the following roads and areas:

    • Towne Lake and roads around Towne Lake
  • McIntyre Road from McDonald Street to Woodlawn Road
  • Woodlawn Road north of US 380
  • CR 124 from CR 123 to Wilmeth Road
  • The exit from McKinney Community Center to Valley Creek Trail
  • Valley Creek Trail at US 75
CR 124 from CR 123 to Wilmeth Road will remain closed until the open drain, or culvert, under the bridge is replaced. CR 124 is expected to reopen by Jan. 1, 2019, according to the city of McKinney. According to the city, public works staff will continue driving the streets and monitoring drainage structures in historically flood-prone locations.
