DATA: More than 57,000 people have turned out to vote in McKinney since start of early voting

More than 57,000 people have voted in person in McKinney since the start of early voting.

There are 10 early voting locations in McKinney; however, Collin County residents can cast ballots at any countywide polling location during early voting and on Election Day.

Oct. 13 was the busiest day thus far for voting in McKinney, with 7,273 county residents showing up to cast ballots in person. The John and Judy Gay Library has been the most popular McKinney polling location, with about 1,264 voters showing up each day, on average. Webb Elementary has seen the lowest turnout, averaging about 125 voters per day.

Collin County has seen 291,587 residents cast ballots since the start of early voting. Elections Administrator Bruce Sherbet told Community Impact Newspaper that he expects record turnout this year due to a surge in the number of registered voters.

Early voting will continue until Oct. 30. Election Day is Nov. 3.
