Executive Chef Enzo Fargione opened Sorriso Modern Italian Kitchen on Jan. 9 located at 2 Waterway Square Place, The Woodlands. The regional Italian restaurant features authentic Italian cuisine made with locally sourced ingredients, including housemade fresh pasta, such as Tagliatelle Pomodoro and Pappardelle Short Rib Ragu; entrees, such as Grilled Branzino and Braised Veal Ossobuco; and brick-oven Neapolitan-Style Pizza, according to a news release. “We are proud to introduce Italian regional cuisine with a modern twist,” Fargione said in a statement. “It takes time and patience, but our goal is to win the hearts and the affection of The Woodlands local residents with quality food and personalized, dedicated service.” In addition to entrees, Sorriso will also offer artisanal bread baskets; table snacks, such as Tuscan Chicken Liver Pate and Potato Sweet Onion Egg Frittata; and a selection of more than 300 wines. The new restaurant will also feature The Charcuterie Bar—the focal point of the eatery—where patrons can watch Sorriso’s chefs in action, according to the release. “I am humbled to have been entrusted with the wonderful opportunity to transform the dining scene of The Woodlands by opening the eyes and palates of hotel guests, passing travelers and area residents with authentic Italian regional cuisine,” Fargione said in a statement.
