A new dance studio, Woodlands Ballet Theatre, opened Sept. 16 at 30420 FM 2978, Ste. 480, The Woodlands. The performance-based, noncompetitive studio offers classes for children and adults from age 2 1/2 and up. Woodlands Ballet Theatre provides training in classical, pointe and adult beginner ballet in addition to contemporary, jazz and tap and jazz styles. Dance fitness and boys' core fitness classes are also offered. Owner Meredith French said the studio is now developing its first performance, "Nutcracker," which will be held Dec. 20-21. 281-789-8170.
