The Sears Home Appliance Showroom at 26914 I-45 N., Oak Ridge North, permanently closed Feb. 25. The showroom sold home appliances, home goods, tools, and lawn and garden items. The store was not owned by Sears Holding Co., which filed for bankruptcy last October, and announced last fall it planned to remain open under the separate Sears Hometown & Outlet company. The showroom began advertising its store closing sale in January.
