Construction is underway at Joy Lutheran Church at 717 FM 359 Rd., Richmond, to double the size of its fellowship hall, where the church gathers for potlucks, dinners and other events. The kitchen and restrooms are also being expanded and updated with new appliances.
The church has approximately 220 members and has been in existence since 1986. The work is expected to be complete by Easter. 281-762-3310.
