Fast-casual restaurant El Pollo Tropical closed its Kingwood establishment at 25635 Hwy. 59 this spring. The chain business closed 30 restaurants in Texas, Tennessee and Georgia as part of the company’s “initial steps in its plan to drive long-term value creation,” according to Fiesta Restaurant Group, which owns the El Pollo Tropical brand.
