A New Orleans-based coffee shop, French Press Coffee House, is expected to open around mid-November at 13126 FM 1960, Ste. 150, Houston, within a new retail development called Cypress Crossing at the Hwy. 290 intersection. Lisa Jansky, who co-owns the business with Gerald Roca, said they will offer hot and cold coffees of all kinds as well as boba tea and hot and iced teas. Food items will include breakfast and lunch sandwiches, muffins and chicken salads. The owners also plan to offer wine, pending approval from the Texas Alcohol Beverage Commission. Jansky said she hopes to open more locations in 2019, including another one in northwest Houston as well as possible locations in the Heights or east Harris County.
