The Federal Emergency Management Agency has opened a new disaster recovery center in the parking lot of the Richard and Meg Weekley Community Center at 8440 Greenhouse Road, Cypress. The center is open daily from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. with information about disaster assistance programs.

Volunteer groups are on-site as well as representatives from FEMA, the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness. Hurricane Harvey survivors can ask questions related to their case or receive help applying for federal assistance. 800-621-3362. www.disasterassistance.gov
