Realty Capital, developer of Lakeside DFW, announced Friday that the Gusto Wine Bar, The Tavern at Lakeside and The Med Spa of Flower Mound will open this year at The Shops at Lakeside located at FM 2499 and Lakeside Parkway in Flower Mound.

“Our residents and visitors have been enthusiastically asking for businesses like these for quite some time,” Jimmy Archie of Realty Capital said in a press release. “We received their message, recruited hard and are delighted to announce The Shops at Lakeside will be bringing these amenities to the community later this year.”

Located next door to the Italian restaurant Mio Nonno Trattoria, Gusto will be a cozy wine bar that provides an assortment of wine and food pairings for guests to enjoy. The wine bar will offer patrons tastings with winemakers as well as an on-site sommelier eager to give guests an education on their pairings. Gusto means “to taste” in Italian.

Gusto will be owned and operated by Noti Krasniqi and Sunny Malaj who also brought Mio Nonno to the Lakeside development. “We feel fortunate to be so well-received by Flower Mound and the surrounding communities,” Krasniqi said. “Bringing a need that’s been communicated to us by those who support the growth of Lakeside is a mission we are honored to take on.”

The Tavern at Lakeside is another business opening later this year. It will be owned and operated by two Flower Mound residents, Dave Coussirat and Scott Mannes. The menu will include a broad range of American fare and a variety of 20+ craft beers, cocktails and wine. A large bar with garage doors will invite guests to sit at the bar outside and view a sports game from one of the 16 TVs inside The Tavern. With a dog-friendly patio and an abundance of bike parking, The Tavern at Lakeside is the perfect spot to enjoy a craft beer after a bike ride on the North Shore Trail. A bloody mary bar and $2 mimosas will be offered to the weekend brunch crowd.

The Tavern at Lakeside will be located at 2600 Lakeside Parkway, Ste. 100, and will be open until 11 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

“The Tavern at Lakeside is exactly what this community is craving: a place to enjoy a cold beer and burger with friends or a place to stop in after dinner at night. We thought there was a need for our concept in Lakeside, and the outpouring of support we have already received before an official announcement has been made has certainly increased our excitement for opening our concept,” Coussirat said.

The addition of a Med Spa adds to the great mix of retail service providers in Lakeside. The Med Spa of Flower Mound will offer services, such as cosmetic injections, laser treatments, HydraFacials, CoolSculpting, and skin resurfacing and tightening. The business aims to be “Flower Mound’s premier Med Spa for the contemporary, sophisticated woman and distinguished man.”

“We take a conservative approach to bring out our client’s own natural outer beauty utilizing the most up-to-date products and technologies. We provide an atmosphere that makes each and every client feel like family. Our staff is highly trained in every procedure in our full range of noninvasive offerings,” said Phil Rodgers, owner of The Med Spa at Flower Mound. After being voted "The Best of Living" and "The Best of Denton County" by its customers two years in a row, the spa's continued growth and success has led its owner and his staff to choose a new larger location. "We have chosen the Lakeside development because we feel like it offers a sense of community that fits our family of staff and clients," Rodgers said.
