The city of Grapevine's first dog park, The Bark Park, will open Nov. 2 at Bear Creek Park, located at 3230 S. SH 360, Grapevine. The 14-acre park will have four enclosed off-leash areas, or paddocks, that can accommodate different sizes of dogs and their activities, a Grapevine Parks and Recreation Department news release said. The dog park will also include a motion-activated splash pad, an agility course and a covered all-weather area.

“We are beyond excited to open Bark Park at Bear Creek Park,” Kevin Mitchell, director of Grapevine Parks and Recreation, said in a statement. “We would like to thank residents for their patience and understanding throughout design and construction. We invite you all to come out and enjoy this beautiful park addition.”

A grand opening event featuring a ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held 10 a.m. Nov. 2 and will be followed by vendor booths and activities throughout the park, including prize giveaways. 817-410-3450. www.gograpevine.com/about/parkdev/dogpark
