CJ's Southern Kitchen will open in the former Mimi's Cafe building at 1449 SH 114, Ste. 500, Grapevine. Owner Jennifer Pharris said she expects the restaurant to open in late July but could be delayed until August. CJ's Southern Kitchen will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner entrees as well as alcoholic beverages and will also have a lunch buffet every day of the week except Saturday. Grapevine City Council on June 18 OK'd the restaurant, including speakers that will be used to bring indoor background music to its patio and to be hooked up for the occasional outdoor performance.
