Alamo Drafthouse announced on Wednesday plans to open its first theater in Frisco. The theater will be located at The Hub at Frisco Station, a 242-acre mixed-use development at the northwest corner of Warren Parkway and the Dallas North Tollway. This will be the company's seventh North Texas location, and it will include eight screens with seating for more than 1,200 guests. Alamo Drafthouse Frisco is expected to open in 2020, according to a news release. The theater will feature Alamo Drafthouse's extensive food and beverage menu, and premium luxury recliner seating throughout each auditorium. The location will also house Video Vortex, a video store-themed bar concept. The theme is inspired by the company's long-running Video Vortex programming series that celebrates straight-to-video cult classics from the 1980s through the early 2000s.
