Blue Dahlia Bistro, 107 Hopkins St., San Marcos, will open in January, co-owner Amy Ramirez said in a news release. The restaurant will serve a variety of salads and tartines—open-faced sandwiches—as well as breakfast dishes such as frittatas, croissants, soft-boiled eggs and crepes. “Our mission has always been to create a restaurant that serves as a dining destination, but also acts as a community hub for friends and neighbors to come together, relax and enjoy a leisurely meal,” Ramirez said in the news release. “Blue Dahlia is our answer to the casual bistros that act as community centers in small villages and country towns throughout Europe.” In addition to indoor dining, the 2000-square-foot restaurant will feature a front patio and back garden. “Opening Blue Dahlia in San Marcos is definitely a passion project for us,” said Sam Ramirez, who co-owns the business along with his wife Amy.  “It has been an honor and pleasure raising my family in San Marcos and we are thrilled to bring new business to this growing town and offer a new dining destination for our wonderful community.” Blue Dahlia Bistro will be open Mon.-Thu. 8 a.m.-10 p.m., Fri. 8 a.m.-11 p.m., Sat. 9 a.m.-11 p.m. and Sun. 9 a.m.-10 p.m. The restaurant also has locations in East Austin and Westlake. www.bluedahliabistro.com Instagram: @blue_dahlia_bistro_austin
